Ground connection

For this purpose, the stator is equipped with threaded bores for grounding

connection at both face ends. Fasten the ground cable with a ring terminal at

one of these threaded holes.
For details on the exact position and the connection thread of the threaded

hole, refer to the dimensional drawing of the respective motor. The minimum

cross-section depends on the type of motor. The corresponding data are lis‐

ted in

Fig. 6-2

The power wire cross-section specified in the data sheet of the

motor is also applies for the grounding cable and must be com‐

plied with.

6.3.2

Temperature sensors

Standard stator

As standard, two thermistors (NTC) for motor protection are mounted into the

motor winding of 1MS stators. One sensor must be connected, the other

serves as a replacement. If the connected sensor fails, the replacement sen‐

sor can continue to be used.

The polarity within the wire pair is not relevant for the func‐

tion of the hot wire.

●

The function of the replacement sensor cannot be guaran‐

teed and must therefore be ensured before commissioning.

Stators in special design S010

In the case of 1MS stators in the "S010" design, three temperature sensors

are permanently installed in the motor winding. Each of these sensors is dou‐

bly present. If the connected sensor fails, the replacement sensor can contin‐

ue to be used.
