Cut Marks

The 0° cut mark (8) indicates the position of the saw blade
when making a right-angled cut. The 45° cut mark (9) indic-
ates the position of the saw blade when making a 45° cut.
For a precise cut, place the circular saw against the work-
piece as shown in the figure. We recommend making a test
cut.

Using the FSN Guide Rail System
GKS 18V-68 GC
When using the FSN guide rail system, the power tool can
stay in the holder for the guide rail when making mitre cuts.

Start-up
Inserting the battery
Push the charged battery (19) into the power tool until the
battery is securely locked.
Switching on/off
To start the power tool, first press the lock-off switch (1) ,
then press and hold the on/off switch (2) .
To switch off the power tool, release the on/off switch (2) .
Note: For safety reasons, the on/off switch (2) cannot be
locked; it must remain pressed during the entire operation.
Protection Against Deep Discharging
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep discharge
by the Electronic Cell Protection (ECP). When the battery is
discharged, the power tool is switched off by means of a pro-
tective circuit: The application tool no longer rotates.
ECO Mode
GKS 18V-68 GC
If the power tool is operated in the energy-saving ECO mode,
the battery life may be up to 30 % longer.
If the ECO mode is active, the symbol
E is shown on the
speed setting/mode indicator (37) .
User Interface (see figure C)

The user interface (3) is used to preselect the speed and to
indicate the status of the power tool.
Speed preselection
GKS 18V-68 GC
Six speed settings and the ECO mode are preset in the basic settings. Using a special application (Bosch Toolbox app), two to
six speed settings can be programmed.
The information in the table below describes the preset speeds (default settings) for each programmed number of levels.
