The specifications apply to a rated voltage [U] of 230 V. These spe-
cifications may vary at different voltages and in country-specific mod-
els.
Assembly
u
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
work on the power tool.
Dust/Chip Extraction
Dust from materials such as lead-containing coatings, some
wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful to one’s
health. Touching or breathing-in the dust can cause allergic
reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of the user or
bystanders.
Certain dust, such as oak or beech dust, is considered carci-
nogenic, especially in connection with wood-treatment ad-
ditives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials containing
asbestos may only be worked by specialists.
– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the ma-
terials to be worked.
u
Avoid dust accumulation at the workplace.
Dust can
easily ignite.
Mounting/changing the diamond cutting disc
(see figure A)
u
Wearing protective gloves while inserting and repla-
cing diamond cutting discs is recommended.
u
Diamond cutting discs become very hot while work-
ing; do not touch them until they have cooled.
u
Always use a diamond cutting disc of the correct size
and with the correct locating bore as specified in the
technical data.
u
Use only diamond-tipped cutting discs. Segmented
diamond cutting discs may only exhibit negative cut-
ting angles and max. 10 mm slots between the seg-
ments.
Mounting the diamond cutting disc
– Clean the diamond cutting disc
(6)
and all the clamping
elements to be fitted.
– Fit the mounting flange
(12)
with the O-ring
(11)
to the
drive spindle
(10)
.
– Place the diamond cutting disc
(6)
on the mounting
flange
(12)
. The direction of the arrow on the diamond
cutting disc
(6)
must match the direction-of-rotation ar-
row on the protective guard
(8)
.
– Fit the clamping flange
(13)
and screw in the clamping
bolt
(15)
.
– Use the ring spanner
(14)
to hold the clamping flange
(13)
and use the hex key
(16)
to tighten the clamping
bolt
(15)
.
Removing the Diamond Cutting Disc
– Use the ring spanner
(14)
to hold the clamping flange
(13)
and use the hex key
(16)
to loosen the clamping bolt
(15)
.
– Remove the clamping flange
(13)
and the diamond cut-
ting disc
(6)
from the drive spindle
(10)
.
Operation
Operating Modes
u
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
work on the power tool.
u
Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces
only, when performing an operation where the cutting
accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Cutting accessory contacting a "live" wire may make ex-
posed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give
the operator an electric shock.
Preselecting the Cutting Depth (see figure B)
u
The cutting depth must only be preselected while the
power tool is switched off.
Adapt the cutting depth to the thickness of the workpiece.
To achieve an optimal result, the diamond cutting disc needs
to protrude from the material by approx. 2 mm.
– Loosen the wing bolt
(5)
. For a smaller cutting depth, pull
the power tool away from the base plate
(9)
; for a larger
cutting depth, push the power tool towards the base plate
(9)
. Set the required cutting depth on the scale
(4)
.
Retighten the wing bolt
(5)
.
Starting Operation
u
Pay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage of the
power source must match the voltage specified on the
