1.
Switch the FAD-420-HS-EN to test mode on the fire panel.

If you have activated the jumper for the tamper switch, secure a magnet at the reed
switch (E) on the side of the detector housing.
3.
This bridges the tamper switch (F) and allows the cover (B) to be removed without
having to switch off the Smoke Detector (D).
4.
Loosen the fastening screws (A) on the cover and remove the cover (B).
5.
Check both air filters (C) for contamination and replace them if necessary.
If necessary, check and clean the sample tube and ventilation tube.
6.
Test the Smoke Detector (D) with a suitable test aerosol.
7.
Once the detector is checked, reattach the cover, remove the magnets, and set the
detector to operating mode on the fire panel.
