8.0 Idle

State

When the system is “at an idle state,” it is not currently performing a function entered by a user.

Table 2: Idle State Messages

Messages Descriptions

Notes

CHECK FIRE SYSTEM

One of a number of messages indicating the system
requires service.

This guide uses the default idle state messages as
examples. Your security company might program
custom text for the idle messages in your system.

* FIRE SYSTEM *

Normal idle message; indicates the system is normal
and ready to function.

PRESS ALARM SIL

Indicates a need to press the [ALARM SILENCE] key.

A valid personal passcode with the proper authority
silences the alarm on a D1255RB.
