CLEANING INLET FILTER
MODELS:

Removing water filter
1. Shut off the installer supplied cold water isolation
valve to the heater. If one is not installed, install
before proceeding.
2. Open the nearest hot water tap to drain the plumb-
ing lines.
3. Position a bucket under the heater’s water valve
assembly to catch any water that may drain from the
heater.
4. Remove the retaining clip located at base of water
valve (Fig. 1, Num. 1).
5. Remove the threaded bushing (Fig. 1, Num. 2) to
access the cylindrical filter inside.
6. Remove filter, clean with water and inspect for
damage.
7. If the filter is at all damaged, it should be replaced.
