4. Testing
4.1
Test requirements
A stable 7.5 bar – 8 bar compressed air system is es-
sential.
The service unit of the compressed air system must be
fitted with a fine filter with a pore size of 0.01 (e.g. fine
filter with parts set from REXROTH (order number for
fine filter: 0 821 303 433, parts set: 1 827 009 359).
4.2
Tools and test equipment
R
Voltage stabilizer (24 V DC), Bosch order number:
1 687 022 873
R
Multimeter, e.g. MMD 302, Bosch order number:
0 684 500 302
R
Commercially available mechanical pressure gage
0 bar – 10 bar, accuracy class 1.0, with socket (nom-
inal size 5)
R
Leak detector spray (commercially available)
4.3
Checking CRR 120
CRR 120 basic settings:
R
Red actuator (Fig. 1, Pos. 9) switched off = Position
0
R
White actuator (Fig. 1, Pos. 3) set to Po = Up
R
Potentiometers P1 (Fig. 1, Pos. 8) and P2 (Fig. 1,
Pos. 6) set to zero position (0)
R
Selector switch (Fig. 1, Pos. 7) set to P1
R
CRR 120 connected to compressed air supply
(Fig. 2, Pos. 5), pressure set to 5 bar
R
Power supply (Fig. 2, Pos. 2 and 3) connected to
voltage stabilizer (24 V)
Checking
R
Connect the test pressure gage to connection B
(Fig. 1, Pos. 5) of the CRR 120.
R
Switch on the compressed air supply and voltage
stabilizer.
R
Switch on the red actuator (Fig. 1, Pos. 9) = Posi-
tion I. The pressure gage Po (Fig. 1, Pos. 1) of the
CRR 120 and the test pressure gage at connection B
(Fig. 1, Pos. 5) show the supply pressure.
R
Increase the pressure at the compressed air supply.
The CRR 120 is switched on at a pressure of 5.5 bar
± 0.2 (display of display module lights). If this is not
the case, the pressure switch PM1 is not correctly
set and needs re-adjusting (refer to information in
Section 7.7).
R
Then set the pressure supply such that a pressure
of 6.5 bar – 7 bar is indicated on the pressure gage
Po (Fig. 1, Pos. 1) of the CRR 120 and on the test
pressure gage at connection B (Fig. 1, Pos .5).
R
Attach the test pressure gage to connection A
(Fig. 1, Pos. 4). By turning the potentiometer P1
(Fig. 1, Pos. 8) in clockwise direction, set the pres-
sure to maximum and then back to minimum. The
changes in pressure must be indicated on the display
module (Fig. 1, Pos. 2) and the test pressure gage.
R
Set the selector switch (Fig. 1, Pos. 7) to P2. It must
be possible to alter the pressure with potentiome-
ter P2 (Fig. 1, Pos. 6) in just the same way as with
potentiometer P1 (Fig. 1, Pos. 8).
R
After successful checking, set both potentiometers
to the zero position (Fig. 1, Pos. 6 and 8), the selec-
tor switch (Fig. 1, Pos. 7) to P1, the white actuator
(Fig. 1, Pos. 3) to the upper position (Po) and the
master switch (Fig. 1, Pos. 9) to the zero position
(0).
R
Detach the test pressure gage from connection A
(Fig. 1, Pos. 4). Disconnect the power and pressure
supply from the CRR 120.
