Flash Rates and Trouble Indication
The detector head has a multi-color LED to indicate operating, trouble and alarm condition.
To verify power to the detector and a functioning transmission of the analog adressable loop,
the LED indicator flashes green when operating normally (polling). Throughout its normal life
cycle, the smoke detector monitors and periodically compensates itself to keep the sensitivity
at its factory calibrated level. When the detector is excessively contaminated, this condition
will be annunciated at the control panel and indicated on the detector by the yellow flashing
LED.
In case of an alarm, the LED will change to steady red. The detector is set to normal, if the
alarm condition is reset by the panel and if the smoke and/or heat that caused the alarm has
dissipated.
Through panel parameter setting, it is possible to turn on or off operation of the polling or
trouble indicator. In the event of an alarm condition, the detector LED will always show a
steady red light.
