Charging batteries
Warning: Use only the original charger to charge the batteries supplied by the manufacturer. Only batteries and chargers designed by Bormann can be used in
conjunction with this product.
The use of any other types of batteries / chargers in combination with this product is considered abuse and will void the warranty.
Once connected to the power supply, the battery can be recharged without the need for monitoring. The complex construction of the circuit monitors the
condition of the battery by adjusting the recharge current to match the requirements. When the recharge cycle is complete and to maintain full capacity, a
low-voltage output current will continue to be powered as needed.
Warning!
• Check the status of the charger and battery before each charge. If there is any indication of a fault then do not continue, seek advice from an authorized
vendor.
Battery pack efficiency and charging advice
Recharge the battery packs before they become completely exhausted
When you feel that the power of the tool becomes weaker, stop using the tool and recharge the battery packs. If you continue to use the tool and exhaust the
electric current, the battery pack may become damaged.
Avoid recharging at high temperatures. A rechargeable battery pack will be hot immediately after use. If such a battery pack is recharged immediately after
use, its internal chemical substance will deteriorate, and the battery life will be shortened. Leave the battery pack and recharge it after it has cooled for a while.
The battery pack should only be used and/or charged when battery pack temperature is between 50C and 300C.
The battery pack needs to be warmed-up or cooled down in order to prevent damage to the batteries internal components.
Note: Failure to warm up or cool down a battery pack could result in serious damage to the battery, charger and user.
Insert / remove the battery pack
Insert: Push the battery pack into the holder of the device until it clicks into place.
Remove: Press the release button on the battery pack and remove the battery pack from the device.
Insert and remove SDS-Plus bits
WARNING: Always wear sturdy protective gloves when working with or changing drill bits and chisel bits; the bits are very sharp.
The device works with the SDS-Plus system, which enables a very simple and safe bit change.
Clean the SDS-Plus bit before inserting it into the drill chuck. Pull back the locking sleeve, hold the sleeve in this position. Then insert the bit into the chuck as
far as it will go, pushing it into the correct position in the chuck while turning. Check that the bit is correctly seated by releasing the locking sleeve and then
pulling hard on the bit. If the bit can be pulled out, pull the locking sleeve back again, turn the bit a little and put it back into the drill chuck. Let go of the
locking sleeve, check again for correct seating. Repeat these steps if necessary until the bit is properly seated.
To remove, pull the locking sleeve back, remove the bit and release the locking sleeve at the end.
Select the operating function
WARNING! Never try to change the operating function during operation. Otherwise the tool will be seriously damaged and possibly injured.
You can use the hammer drill in two different operating modes.
To select the desired operating mode, turn the rotary knob (c) to the correct position.
a- Drilling
Set the rotary knob to the position . Select this operating mode for drilling in metal and wood;
b- Hammer drilling
Set the knob to position
. This mode of operation is for drilling in brick, masonry and concrete.
c- Chisel adjustment function
Select function
in order to adjust the position of the chisel.
d- Chiselling without rotation:
Set the knob to position
. This mode of operation is part of chiselling without turning function for the masonry or detaching tiles.
The manufacturer declines all liability for changes to the tool and for damage caused by such a change.
