Clutch Installation
Step 5. Install the new coupling onto the hub. For clutches that have been upgraded
with the Retro-fit kit, remove the old rear-o-ring and install the new one. Apply grease
from the appropriate grease packet to the new rear o-ring. If the clutch serial number
does NOT end with the letter “K”, then use the Aeroshell grease packet, otherwise use
the Multemp ET-100k grease tube.
Step 6. Install the clutch and flux ring onto the hub. Rotate the cylinder cap of the
clutch to align and engage the flats on the clutch with the flats on the coupling.
CAUTION!: Ensure that the mounting face of the flux ring is fully seated against the
face of the pulley and that it is the only portion of the flux ring contacting the pulley.
Step 7. Align holes on the clutch, flux ring and pulley. Install the 6 new clutch mounting
bolts through the clutch into the pulley. Torque to 50 lb-ft (67.8 Nm).

WARNING!: Always use care in handling this Clutch when the Magnet Ring is exposed. Any interaction with
a metallic object may cause a pinch point that could result in personal injury.
WARNING!: Be careful not to handle the clutch by the flux ring. The clutch
may fall off unexpectedly causing damage to the clutch or personal injury.
WARNING!: Never operate the clutch without the flux ring in place as damage
to the clutch or personal injury could occur. Without the flux ring in place, the
magnets on the back of the clutch would be exposed to attract foreign objects
and this could create a hazard.
