4. Maintenance and cleaning

4.1 Cleaning

Before starting maintenance or cleaning, always remove the plug from the mains and wait until the appliance

is cold. Also keep the microwave output cover (C) free from fats or grease splatters. Do not use abrasive de-

tergents, wire wool or sharp metal tools when cleaning the oven’s external surface. Furthermore, the use of

alcohol, abrasive detergents and ammonia based detergents is not recommended for cleaning the inside and

outside of the door. To ensure perfect closure, always keep the door’s inner face clean, ensuring that dirt and

food remnants do not remain trapped between the door and oven surround. It will be necessary periodically to

remove the turntable and its support to clean them, and the bottom of the oven.

Wash the turntable and support in soapy water with neutral soap, even in the dishwasher. Do not put the turnta-

ble in cold water after prolonged heating; the heat shock would cause breakage. The turntable’s motor is sealed.

However, when cleaning the bottom, take care that water does not get under the turntable spindle.

4.2 Maintenance

If anything seems not to function properly or in the case of a defect, contact Customer Service.

NOTE: In case the oven lamp fails to work, it is possible to continue to use the appliance normally (it can be

changed by the user). In any case, before calling our technicians, carry out the following simple checks:

PROBLEM

CAUSE / REMEDY

The appliance does not work

• The door is not shut properly.

• The plug is not squarely in the socket.

• No power from the plug (check the mains fuse).

• The time has not been set properly or the child safety has been activated.

Condensation inside the oven or

around the door

• When cooking foods which have water, it is normal for the vapour created

inside the oven to try to get out and it condenses inside the oven or around

the door frame.

Sparks in the oven

• Do not turn the oven on without food in microwave and combined mode.

• Do not use metallic containers in cooking as above nor bags or packets with

staples.

The food does not heat or cook suf-

fi

 ciently

• Select the correct function or increase the cooking time.

• The food has not been completely defrosted prior to cooking.

The food burns

• Select a lower power level or reduce cooking time.

The food does not cook evenly

• Stir food during cooking. Bear in mind that food cooks better if cut into evenly

sized pieces.

• The turntable is stuck.
