1. Connect the cooker hood for extraction of cooking vapours to a suitable ventilation duct
(do not connect to chimney, smoke or flue stacks in use).
2. The safe height between the oven plate and the hood shall be at least
650 mm (see fig. 2).
3. Do
not
leave
open
flame
under
the
hood;
set the burner to minimum before removing dishes from the oven.
4. Do not leave meals cooked with fats or grease unattended, since overheated
fat/grease can be easily ignited.
5. Clean the grease filters of the hood periodically, i.e. at least once per month; otherwise
when saturated, the filters become inflammable.
6. Remove the power cord plug from the mains socket and wait until the fan stops
completely each time before cleaning, filter replacement or any repairs.
7. If another equipment powered by other media is operated in the same room
(e.g.
gas
or
liquid
fuel
ovens/stoves),
ensure
adequate
ventilation (air supply).
8. Operation is safe if the cooker hood is simultaneously operated with
combustion devices dependent on the air in the room at a maximum negative
pressure of 0.004 millibars at the work places of these devices (this does not apply if
the cooker hood is used as the odour absorber).
