INTRODUCTION

POWER SUPPLY
This electronic keyboard can function with mains or battery.
MAINS SUPPLY
The instrument can be supplied by the Bontempi ACIDC
"AD 177.10" (Vdc =12V I = IA)
central adap-
ter conforms to national and international safety regula-
borts covenng electrical appliances.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
The socket (1) for the
adapter plug must be
easiiy accessible. Inserting
the plug into the socket at
the back of the instrument automatically
cuts off supply
from the batteries. Ensure that the adapter is sufficiently
ventilated and that the ventilation slits are not covered
with objects such as newpapers. tablecloths, curtains. etc.
Do not expose the adapter to drops or splashes of water.
WARNING: All batteries or transformers with safety
insulation must be checked regularly for faults in cable,
wire. or plug insulation or other parts.
BATTERY SUPPLY
This instrument works with eight 1.5V IEC R 14/C bat-
teries (not supplied) which are inserted in the housing at
the bottom.
To open press on the part of the lid marked OPEN
Fit the batteries as shown at the bottom of the housing.
ADVICE ON USING THE BATTERIES
• Take worn batteries out.
• Recharge only"rechargeable" batteries and always in the
presence of an adult
• Avoid using batteries of different types at the same time.
• Do not use combinations of new and worn batteries.
• DO not shortcircuit the power supply terminals.
DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES - Protect
the environment by disposing Of batte-
ries in the special containers provided
for this use.

SOCKETS
INPUT 12 V DC:The keyboard can be powered by an
ACIDC mains adaptor (see paragraph entitled "Supply").
PHONES 1 AUX-OUT
(headphone and Hi-Fi soc-
kett stereo output level
150 Ohm): By connecting
the headphone you auto-
matically switch Off the loudspeaker's internal system and
you can listen to all the electronic keyboard sections
through the headphone. To connect the instrument to an
Hi-Fi set, stereo amplifier. tape recorder, etc..
Important note: - To "PHONES/ AUX-OUT" socket con.
nect stereo pins only.
This can be obtained from many high-street stores.
MIDI IN - Socket for inputting data from a Midi instru•
ments.
MIDI OUT - Socket for outputting data to a Midi instru-
ments.

SONG/STYLE
- To select rhythm styles and songs.
LOWER 1 GROUND - To select sounds for the left hand
SOUND 2 • To select the second sound to mix with the first
SOUND I - To select sounds for the right hand.

For selecting functions, styles
and sounds.
ON/OFF - For switching the instrument on and off.
INTRO/ENDING
- Predisposes the system for a musi-
cal introduction or executes a final musical phrase when
the rhythm is active.
KEY START/FILL IN - used to start the rhythm by
Ying an accord, or to execute variations when the rhythm
is running.

START/STOP
- When pressed the first time this starts
a rhythm. when pressed a second time it stops 't.
EASY PLAY - Easy Play selects the sound played by the
right hand. the sound played by the left hand and the cor-
rect speed to suit the style selected. It sets the keyboard
to FREE CHORD ll. To select from the SO SONGS the
sound and time combined SONG.
PIANO - Enables the REAL PIANO sound and the reco-
gnition Of the chords on the entire keyboard.
METRONOME
Enables the metronome that scans the
time for the musical exercises.
SONG MELODY • To turn the melody of the SONG you
are playing on or off.
SEQUENCER
RECORD • To register notes. rhythms.
variations. etc.
SEQUENCER
PLAY - To listen to the registration.
DEMO - To listen to a demonstration
melody.
