9. After the brewing process ends, remove the coffee-filled carafe and the
filter basket from the brewer.
10. For maximum heat retention place the lid on the carafe shortly after the
brew cycle is complete
(Fig. E).
11. To dispose of the used filter, dump it from the filter basket, rinse out filter
basket, and set aside to dry.
Auto-Start Mode -
to brew a batch of coffee at a later time.
1. Set time of day, following directions in BEFORE FIRST USE section.
2. Press the PROG button to set programmed brew start time. While the
display is flashing adjust the start time with the HR and MIN buttons,
then press the PROG button again. The PROG button will be lit when
auto start mode is engaged.
3. Fill the water tank with fresh, filtered, cold water, and place a filter and
ground coffee into the filter basket.
4. Your brewer will begin brewing at the start time you have programmed.
5. Press PROG button each time you want to brew in the auto start mode.
6. To deactivate the auto start mode, press the ON/OFF button twice or
hold PROG button for 3 seconds. To reactivate the auto start mode,
either adjust the brew start time or press the PROG button twice.
Optional Pre-infusion Mode
– for brewing freshly roasted coffee.
1. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds.
2. If a “1” is displayed the pre-infusion is disabled. A “2” indicates the
pre-infusion mode is enabled. Press the HR button to change the value.
3. Press the PROG button or wait 3 seconds to save the change.
4. Press the ON/OFF button to start brewing or set the timer for auto-start
mode.
5. The brewer will remain in pre-infusion mode until the mode is turned off
or the brewer is unplugged.
6. You can turn off the pre-infusion mode by pressing the on/off switch for 5
seconds. A “1” wil be displayed indicating the mode has been turned off.
7. The am/pm will flash when the pre-infusion mode is enabled.
