Operating Conditions
Material Specification
Optimal operating conditions:
•
Ensure that incoming voltage is 230v at the plug connected to
Power Drive.
•
Other factors that may increase amp draw: Condition of the
floor; Excessive length of cable; Damage to cable/plugs.
•
If Power Drive does overheat, allow motor to cool for 15-20
minutes prior to restarting.
•
If internal 16-amp or electric panel breakers trip repeatedly,
consider removing the extra weights or adjusting your grit
sequence before continuing with your sanding progression.
•
Use a Bona
®
Power Station Plus to adjust your incoming
voltage to 230v.
·
The Bona Power Station Plus will NOT protect the machine
when using damaged or excessive lengths of 10-3 cable.
·
If more than 50 feet of cable is needed, run the majority
between the power supply and the Bona Power Station Plus,
boosting the final length.

Weight Kit includes two 15lb. horseshoe style weights that attach to the front nose of the chassis adding
to the cutting power of the Bona FlexiSand Power Drive. The two separate weights allow you to customize the aggressiveness of the
machine dependent on where you’re at in your sanding progression or other variables including different species or stubborn coatings.

You must be connected to a 20amp breaker.
•
If the electric panel breaker trips repeatedly, remove the extra
weight before continuing with your sanding progression.

FlexiSand DCS Buffer
™
The use of the extra weights with the Bona FlexiSand Power Drive will increase the amperage
draw to the motor. An insufficient power supply or too much amp draw can lead to unnecessary
overheating of your Power Drive unit, and potential damage.
