Changing bulbs
Xenon light
OE
The xenon light available as
optional equipment operates
with high voltage. There is a
danger to life and limb when
work is not carried out prop-
erly.
Have all work on the xenon
light system including bulb
changes performed by a spe-
cialized workshop, preferably
by an authorized
BMW motorcycle retailer.

Optional equipment
The service life of xenon bulbs
is considerably longer than that
of other light bulbs. Should the
xenon bulb nevertheless fail:
• Lower high-beam headlights
by turning screw

counter-
clockwise
• Temporarily drive with high-
beam headlights
• Have bulb replaced by a spe-
cialized workshop as soon as
possible, preferably by an
authorized BMW motorcycle
retailer
• Have the high-beam head-
lights adjusted by a special-
ized workshop, preferably an
authorized BMW motorcycle
retailer
