Placing motorcycle on
center stand

No secure stance is pos-
sible on poor ground

conditions.
In the area of the stand, make
sure that you find an even and
firm surface.

• Switch off the engine.
• Dismount, keeping your left

hand on the handlebar grip.

• With your right hand, take

hold of the passenger grab
handle or rear frame.

• Place your right foot on the

extended arm of the center
stand and push the center
stand downwards until the
feet contact the ground.

• Place your full body weight

on the center stand and at
the same time pull the
motorcycle backwards
(arrow).

• Check that the motorcycle is

standing firmly.

The center stand can
retract if there is exces-

sive motion and lead to the
vehicle falling over.
Do not sit on the motorcycle
while it is resting on the center
stand.
