Installation and wiring diagram
The figure shows the E36/4, proceed accordingly on other models.
The microphone (10*) is to be installed in the instrument panel on the left below the light
switch on the E36/5, on the other models it is installed in the oddments box in the centre
console.Tie back excess cable lengths on the vehicle wiring harness.
Secure the holder (1) for the mobile phone on the telephone console and lay branch

to
the installation location of the control module (2) for the hands-free facility.
Secure the control module (2) for the hands-free facility on the footwell trim on the left.
Prepare the switch module (16) with the pin contacts supplied and the white 4-pin plug
casing and install it in the A pillar on the left and connect it.
Connect the basic wiring harness

and lay branches

along the audio wiring harness into the boot on the left.
Install and connect the microphone (10*):

in the instrument panel on the left under the light switch
E36/2/3/4/C
in the oddments box in the centre console.

the hands-free facility and tie them back.
