13. To install and connect the adapter cable in cars with SA 640 telephone preparation

Raise the carpet so that the 3-pin socket casing
(40) and the 3-pin plug casing (41) from the
telephone wiring harness are visible.
If the 3-pin socket casing and the 3-pin plug
casing are not connected, the existing 3-pin
socket casing (40) must be connected to the
3-pin plug casing (41) and then tied back again.

This is only necessary if the hands-free

facility does not work in the function test.
