Volume limit for headphones

A volume limit for the rear compartment head‐
phones can be enabled via iDrive in the front.

General

A selected entertainment source can be played
back in the rear via:

▷

  Individual Entertainment.

▷

  Theatre mode.

Individual Entertainment

A different entertainment source can be played
back in the rear, regardless of the entertainment
source active in the front.
If Individual Entertainment is selected, the sound
of the selected entertainment source is output
via headphones.

Theatre mode

Theatre mode describes a method of playing
back a selected entertainment source in the ve‐
hicle:

▷

The selected entertainment source is played
back in the front and rear.

▷

The sound from a selected entertainment
source is output via the vehicle loudspeakers
only.

▷

Theatre mode can be activated in the front
and, if rear-seat operation is enabled, the rear.

▷

The volume set in the front is adopted when
theatre mode starts.

▷

The volume can be adjusted in the front and,
if rear-seat operation is enabled, the rear.

Sharing the entertainment

source

General

The entertainment source active in the front can
be shared with the screens in the rear.
The entertainment source active in the rear can
be shared with the display in the front or the
other rear compartment display. If restricted rear-
seat operation is enabled, the entertainment
source active in the rear can only be shared with
the other rear compartment display.
Once an entertainment source has been shared,
the entertainment source can be controlled sep‐
arately in the front or the rear using the controls
there.
