Special functions
with auxiliary battery OE
Important special functions can
still be operated after switching
off the ignition.
Operation is possible for a lim-
ited time or until the auxiliary
battery is drained.
Plug connection for auxiliary
battery
with auxiliary battery OE
Prerequisite for operation with
auxiliary battery and the asso-
ciated special functions is that
the bridge has been inserted
into the isolating plug during
the pre-delivery check.
To check the plug connection
for the auxiliary battery, remove
passenger seat ( 99) or re-
lease the radio transceiver box
( 210).
Important special functions:
Unlocking for radio trans-
ceiver box
LED 360° marker strobes
LED flashing warning lights
Hailing system
Intercom system
Radio
US scopes
Switching off ignition
Turn the key to position 1 .
Lights switched off.
Handlebars not locked.
Key can be removed.
Electrically powered accessor-
ies remain operational for a
limited period of time.
The battery can be recharged
via the vehicle socket.

Keys
The telltale light for the
radio-operated key flashes
while the search for the radio-
operated key is in progress.
The light goes out as soon as
the radio-operated key or the
emergency key is found.
The light goes out briefly if
the search times out without
the radio-operated key or the
emergency key being found.
