PRECAUTIONS
4.1.1
WARNINGS
This chair has been designed for and adapted to medical practices and procedures, and
hence a specific use. Abnormal use of the latter can lead to user or patient accidents, or even
to irreversible damage.
The following list of abnormal chair uses is not exhaustive and BMB MEDICAL counts on the
common sense of the chair’s users.

The chair’s mechanisms could cause lesions; ensure
that no-one is touching the mechanical
elements before activating the chair.

Do not use the product on a floor with a slope greater than 10%.

Do not alter the chair. Any changes made to the system could lead to unpredictable
operation that could in turn jeopardize the safety of the user or patient. This would void
the product’s warranty.

Use by a person who has not first familiarized themselves with this user manual.

Washing with large amounts of water, with a high-pressure jet or with steam and passage
through a wash tunnel.

Any use that does not fall within the operating context of a hospital chair.

Using the chair with a load greater than that recommended.

Do not overload the chair, even if unfolded.

Moving the chair when the wheels are locked.

Impacts of varying force.

Sitting on the armrests.

Storing the chair in a damp (risk of component oxidation) or extremely sunny environment
(risk of deterioration of components such as upholstery and risk of burns to the patient by
contact on the upholstery).

Moving the chair when the bed mechanism is unfolded.

Moving the chair with the wheel brakes engaged.

The bed mechanism is intended for use by one person only.

Moving the chair with a person on it.

Using the chair as a transport trolley.
