Small introduction into textile lore
Labels and symbols
Care symbols: Check whether your textiles are suitable for drying. On the garment label,
you find the following symbols:
In principle, the drying in the condenser dryer with heat pump is possible.
Please note that the dryer has special programs for wool, wool- and silk-containing
fabrics!
Regular drying
Gentle drying
Drying in a dryer not permitted
Drying programs of the tumble-dryer
Drying suitable for
Regular drying Hot Wash
Coloreds
Cotton
Linen
Gentle drying Easy-care synthetics (polyester, polyamide);
mixed fabrics (with cotton)
Drying not permitted Rayon
Airing / Refreshing Hot Wash, Coloreds, Cotton, Linen, Easy-
care Synthetics, Mixed Fabrics with Cotton.
Program Wool Wool, wool-containing fabrics
Program Silk Silk-containing textiles (Polyester), curtains,
sensitive fabrics
Before drying
The laundry should be spin-dried as much as possible. Relevant information can also be
found on the garment labels.
What can be dried?
Only dry laundry labeled accordingly. Use the appropriate program.
If possible load textiles of the same kind; thin tea towels will dry much quicker than thick
bath towels.
Remove metal parts (e.g. buckles, fittings, etc.) or put textiles in a linen bag or similar.
