3.
Mount the brackets.
Place the first bracket directly over the corner of the window/door. Make
sure there is at least
30” of space separating it from the other bracket. Adjust the brackets so
the louvers clear all obstructions. Drill in each of the brackets and make sure they are level
with one another.
If you do not have extension brackets you may move on to step #4.
With the provided wing nut
and screw, connect the extension bracket to the L-shaped bracket so that the clip that
connects to the track projects out further from the wall.
4.
Install the vertical track/headrail.
Turn the track clip so that it runs vertically. Align the
vertical track/headrail under your brackets. Hook the front part of the track into the front part of
the clip. Once the lip of the front end of the clip is inserted into that groove press the back end
of the track slightly back and up until the back end of the bracket clips around the back of the
track. Once all brackets have been clipped around the track, gently tug to make sure that the
vertical track is securely installed in the mounting brackets.
Make sure your track is facing the right way according to your requested operation
specifications. If you chose a cordless wand, the wand needs to be positioned in front of the
vanes when the blinds are closed.
5.
Insert each vane one at a time
. Simply press the top of the vane with the hole up into each of
the carrier stem. Gently pull down on the vane so that it is seated in each of the bottom
grooves. Repeat this process for each vane.
6.
Assemble the valance
. If the valance returns are not preassembled, slide the clear plastic
corner clip onto the top edge of the valance. Then slide the valance return into the other side of
the clear corner valance clip. If necessary, use a pair of heavy-duty scissors to trim the ends of
the returns.
7.
Snap the valance into the valance clips.
There will be a slot on the back of the valance that
will need to align with the grooves on the front of the valance clips. Gently press the back of
the valance on to the front of the valance clip until you hear the valance snap into place.
8.
Mount the chain & cord loop tension devices.
If you chose a cordless wand you may move
on to step #9.
Each tension device will need two screws drilled into the top and bottom. Mount
the tension devices on a flat, even surface and make sure that just a little bit of slack is left in
the loops.
9.
Test the rotation of your vanes.
The metal beaded chain will rotate the vanes in either
direction.
