Caution:
Do NOT use any cleaner or sanitizer containing chlorine such as bleach. Over time, this will pit and erode stainless steel.
The Blichmann Engineering CIP spray ball is an assistive cleaning tool to aid in the cleaning and sanitizing of
the Blichmann fermentors and is not intended to adhere to ASME BPE standards. The CIP Spray ball is ideal
for use in the cleaning of fermentation vessels post fermentation, cleaning and sanitization of kegs pre and
post use among other applications.

After the fermentor has been drained of its contents
attach a ½” barbed fitting to the bottom dump valve.
1. Before using the CIP Spray Ball rinse out any loose
material inside the fermentor
3. Once the rinse is complete connect the hoses to
the pump as shown in
Figure 2.
4. Fill the fermentor with a minimum1/2 gallon of
warm PBW™ (Powdered Brewery Wash™).
5. Recirculate for 45 mins.
6. Drain the contents and sanitize.
Warning:
Never operate the CIP spray ball without first openly
venting the fermentor to the atmosphere! Gases in the fermentor
can expand and create dangerous pressures or vacuums.

Tip:
Never run the pump dry.
Operation
Attach the CIP lid hatch as shown in
Figure 1
. Always operate
with the silicone hose attached. This will ensure the hot liquid
will not be released out the hole in the lid hatch. Leave in the
airlock/blow off on the fermentor when operating.
