We recommend you have your Blaupunkt speakers professionally installed but the installation
process is often so easy that the average consumer can make a successful installation with little
trouble. BUT, great care must be taken to ensure the safety of the installer and the vehicle. To

READ THE MANUAL! Understand the product and installation before beginning.
WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES!
PROTECT THE VEHICLE! Always disconnect the negative battery cable before starting any
installation work. This prevents high current shorts (i.e., potential fires)
VERIFY AN UNOBSTRUCTED INSTALL! Before cutting any trim components or drilling
holes, make sure there are no electrical wires, fuel or fluid lines, or structural metal members
hidden from view.
DO NOT LISTEN AT HIGH LEVELS FOR PROLONGED PERIODS OF TIME! If connected to
25 watt amplifiers or higher, most car speakers in this performance level can cause permanent
hearing loss if listened to over several hours at maximum power.
Before ripping apart the interior of your beautiful new car you need some basic installation
knowledge and skill with common hand and power tools.

CHECK YOUR PARTS! Completely empty the box ensuring all parts are accounted for

TAKE CARE IN DISASSEMBLING THE VEHICLE! Every manufacturer uses slightly different
construction
Take special care in removing trim and door panels since they often
use unique screws or snap fasteners.
For most installations, simple hand tools are adequate if replacing the factory speakers. If the
factory locations are not used power tools for drilling and cutting will likely be needed. A good
starting list is the following:
Marking pen and starting punch
Tape measure or ruler
Phillips and flat blade screwdrivers (small and medium sizes)
Wire cutters, and wire strippers, and electrical tape
Standard size vice-style pliers and needle nosed pliers
Light duty trim type pry bar
Cutting shears or nibbling tool (for cutting metal)
Crimping pliers and appropriate crimp-on spade terminals
Power drill with appropriate sized drill bits
