AUTO
: The speed dome is capable of automatically switching from Black and White mode (NIGHT) and Color mode
(DAY) when the light level changes. It is the default mode.
NIGHT
(B/W): You can set the IR cut filter to Black and White mode to increase then lens sensitivity in low light
conditions.
DAY
(Color): You can switch it to DAY mode in normal lighting conditions.
NOTE
You can set the IRCUT FILTER value on this menu. Also, you can call Preset 39 to set the IR cut filter mode to DAY mode, or call
Preset 40 to set it as NIGHT mode.

D/N level
. The D/N level option sets the light level for the automatic switch between DAY mode and NIGHT mode
switch. Three levels are selectable: HIGH, MID (default) and LOW.
4.3.4 TASK 4: Configure the sharpness level
The sharpness function can increase the gain of the image and sharpen the edges of the picture to enhance the picture details. You
can set the SHARPNESS level from 0 to 15.
4.3.5 Task 5: Configure the BLC and WDR
There are two parameters available for BLC (back light compensation) and WDR (wide dynamic range) configuration on this menu:

BLC/WDR
. You can set the value to
ON
or
OFF
to enable or disable the functions.

BLC LEVEL
. You can manually adjust the backlight compensation level.
4.3.6 TASK 6. Configure iris, gain and shutter speed

Setting the AE mode
. AE mode defines the priority of the iris, shutter and gain when the camera adjusts the brightness of
the video. The options in
AE MODE
are as follows:
AUTO
: Auto iris, auto shutter and auto gain. The camera adjusts these values automatically responding to the lighting
conditions. This is the default mode.
HAUTO
: Half-auto mode allows you to adjust the iris manually while the camera is actually adjusting the exposure.
HAUTO mode switches to AUTO mode if there’s no iris adjustment within 20 seconds, or when the lighting changes in the
environment.
