The Peripheral Sharer supports
MarkVision fully automatically.
Again, only one user will have access
to the printer at any one time. If the
printer is in use by another
computer when you activate
MarkVision, printer status will not
immediately be available. To retrieve
information once the printer
becomes free, use the Refresh
Current Printer option in the
Configure menu.
NOTE
The auto installation program
may install MarkVis-ion to
run automatically when
Windows boots. In a shared-
printer environment, run
MarkVision only when it is
needed. To remove the auto-
run feature, edit the WIN.INI
file to remove the line:
run=c:\prt4039\lexpanel.exe
which can be found in the
[windows] section.
Software Driver Installation
During installation of the software
drivers, make sure that your PC is
connected to the printer by selecting
the Peripheral Sharer port manually
on the front panel keypad. Once the
drivers have been installed, you may
switch back to auto-scan mode.
DOS
TOOLKIT
Full bi-directional communication is
available automatically when using
the DOS toolkit. Only one user may
retrieve information from the
printer at any one time.
