5. Windows NT, Windows 2000,

or Windows XP Network

In a Windows network environment, other than the peer-to-peer network printing
described in the previous chapter, you can also use the server-based printing for
Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP servers. Only one Windows NT,
Windows 2000, or Windows XP server is required to have the Windows PTPP driver
installed to share the network printing service among all Windows users on the
network. Other network users can simply connect to the server and access the
shared printer. Figure 5-1 shows a typical PTPP environment using a Windows
print server. The network connection path is shown in gray in the figure.
