Using the SQL Connector

Data Source (Enter a meaningful name in Data Source entry - e.g. 'iDM')

Server (the iDM network hostname e.g. iDM11407)
User Name (Name of iDM User with 'External Database Reports' permission. Please
see the iDM Users page help for more information)
Password (password for above iDM User)

(This is the default port, but may change for a hosted iDM).
3. Click the "Test" button and ensure successful connection.
4. Click the "Save" button.
The System DSN should now appear in the list in the System ODBC Data Source Name list on the SQL Command
tab in the Connection Editor. You may need to click the
Refresh button to update the list.
Configuring a iCompel Data Engine Connection
Start the iDE Connection Editor application.
1. Select the Source tab, and on the Data Source tab, ensure 'Execute SQL Command to a database via ODBC'
option is selected.
2. On the SQL Command tab, select the System DSN created above in the ' System ODBC Data Source
Name ' drop down list. You may need to click the Refresh button to update the list.
3. In the SQL Query text box enter:
select * from dsm_view_basic.func_current_organisation_operational_summary();
