Never attempt to replace the charger unit with a

regular mains plug.

X

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the

Assembly

Fitting and removing the battery (fig. A)
Warning!

Make sure that the lock-off button (8) is engaged

to prevent accidental switch actuation before removing or
installing a battery.

X

To fit the battery (6), line it up with the receptacle on the
tool. Slide the battery (6) into the receptacle and push
until the battery (6) snaps into place.

X

To remove the battery (6), push the two release buttons
(5) simultaneously while at the same time pulling the
battery (6) out of the receptacle.

Charging the battery (fig. C)

This battery is shipped in a partially charged state. Charge
the battery before first use using the mains charger (9) for
nine hours.
The battery (6) needs to be charged whenever it fails to
produce sufficient power on jobs that were easily done
before. When charging the battery (6) for the first time, or
after prolonged storage, it will only accept an 80% charge.
After several charge and discharge cycles, the battery (6)
will attain full capacity. The battery (6) may become warm
while charging; this is normal and does not indicate a
problem.
After normal usage the battery (6) will be fully charged in
approximately three to six hours.
To prolong battery life, do not leave the battery on charge for
extended periods of time (over 30 days without use). This
can significantly reduce battery life.

Fitting the battery cap (fig. D)
Warning!

Fit the cap (10) to the battery (6) for transportation

and storage.

Use

Pivoting the tool head (fig. B)

The tool can be pivoted to three different positions (fig. B).

X

To avoid being pinched at the points indicated by the
arrows, hold the screwdriver at both ends and use your

Warning!
