HANDY HINTS
Always hold your
sander with two hands.
Always sand with the
grain of the wood. If you
sand across the grain,
you will leave swirl marks.
• Use the correct grade of sandpaper. Low grit
sandpapers give a high stock removal rate, with a
coarse finish. High grit sandpapers give a low stock
removal rate, with a finer finish. As a general rule,
start with the low grit paper and finish with the
higher grit.
• Replace worn sandpaper.
• Empty the dustbag (KA273) every 10 minutes.
• Set the correct speed (KA185E/KA186E). Use low
speed for acrylics and synthetics and use medium
or high speed for hard and soft wood.
TOOL CARE
• Do not apply excessive pressure on your sander. This
can cause your sander to overheat. If your sander
becomes too hot, operate it off-load for 2 minutes.
• Always keep the air cooling vents on the motor
housing clear.
• To clean your sander, proceed as follows:
• Disconnect the plug from the electricity supply.
• Use a clean dry paint brush to clear vents and ducts.
• Clean the housing using a clean damp cloth (do not
use solvents, petrol or turpentine).
