PLACING A CALL
Using the Handset
– Lift the handset.
2) The HA 9888(38) telephone will select the appropriate idle line.
(models (38)TSD/T10/T9/T8/T7/T6/T5/T4/T3/T2/TP only)
3) Listen for dial tone. Dial the desired number, or press [REDIAL] key to
automatically dial a number.
4) To end the call, hang up by replacing the handset.
Using the Speakerphone
16. Press the [SPKR] key and the phone will select a free line.
The telephone will go off hook on the selected line with speakerphone
active.
NOTE:
The red
SPKR
LED will indicate that the speakerphone is active.
17. Wait for a dial tone.
18. Dial a phone number.
19. Press [SPKR] key when finished.
RECEIVING A CALL
Using the Handset
When the phone rings, the corresponding line’s indicator flashes rapidly.

4) To end the call, hang up by replacing the handset.
Using the speaker phone.
When the phone rings, the corresponding line’s indicator flashes rapidly.
3) Press the [SPKR] key.
4) Press [SPKR] when finished.
SPEAKERPHONE TIPS
To activate the handset from speakerphone mode:

To activate the Speakerphone from handset mode:
