Emergency Shutdown

Should

 

there

 

be

 

any

 

abnormal

 

operation

 

or

 

failure

 

of

 

the

 

attenuator,

 

shut

 

down

 

the

 

transmitter

 

immediately

 

and

 

allow

 

the

 

unit

 

to

 

cool

 

before

 

performing

 

any

 

maintenance.

1.

Disable

 

RF

 

power

 

at

 

the

 

transmitter.

WARNING

Leaking

 

RF

 

energy

 

is

 

a

 

potential

 

health

 

hazard.

Never

 

attempt

 

to

 

connect

 

or

 

disconnect

 

equipment

 

from

 

the

 

transmission

 

line

 

while

 

RF

 

power

 

is

 

being

 

applied.

 

Severe

 

burns,

 

electrical

 

shock,

 

or

 

death

 

can

 

occur.
