6.4.3 Calling a mobile phone or using a provider prefix
In order to enter phone numbers for cellular (mobile) phones or if a provider prefix should be added to the
phone number (e.g. 010xx as a preselection number) you must make sure that the call will be received. If
the net is overloaded, several seconds can pass before the receiver’s telephone will ring. In this case the
connection may be interrupted after the first tone or even before, because the TWG hangs up and
proceeds to the next number if during 20 sec no connection has been established.
To avoid this, hit key
(break) several times following the phone number entry. Each hit adds a break of
3.6 sec. Three hits thus lead to a break of almost 11 sec. This means the telephone called will now ring
11 sec more before the TWG hangs up and starts to dial the next number.
