P. 8
Please follow the particular order given below to avoid any kind of strain or premature ageing
of the YAKKAir HP / Nomad HP.
1. Deflate the floor and remove it from the boat.
2. Deflate the keel and leave it in place.
3. Deflate the two main bladders by unscrewing the two valves simultaneously. Avoid pushing
the valves downward into the Dacron envelope. To deflate the kayak use the pump in deflate
mode and change the nozzle round.
4. Put your deflated boat on its side, the rib plates flat.
5. Fold three times from front to rear, and do two folds from rear to front.
Tip : Avoid folding where the valves are located as this could damage them as well as pinch
the inner bladders. Ensure that the ribs remain flat and do not fold them.
6. Put the folded boat into the storage bag without the floor.
7. Slide the floor into the bag.
Tips: Do not press your boat too much down into the bag. Put back the plugs to protect the
valves when the kayak is stored.
Maintenance
The YAKKAir HP / Nomad HP is made of material and thus requires a minimum amount of care
to avoid getting damaged over the years.
After each outing: Avoid putting your boat away with stand still in it – sand is very corrosive.
Fold your kayak on a grassy area. Rinse with fresh water and let dry before storing it in its bag.
Before a long period of storage: Rinse your kayak with fresh water and wash away any salt
and sand. Wipe clean and dry thoroughly before storing in its bag. This helps prevent any
mould forming during long-term storage, which can cause premature damage to the kayak.
Repair
A repair kit for the bladder is included with the kayak. Follow the steps shown in the video on
our website www.bicsport.com to remove and repair the bladder. For any other advice
on repair, contact us by e-mail at [email protected] or contact your nearest retailer
(list available on our website).
