4 Maintenance
The condition of continuous operational readiness,
reliability and a long service life is a periodic overview
and maintenance.
Maintenance activities include:
• Making periodic inspections during which the
heating elements must be cleaned from scale. It
interferes with the flow of heat which increases
power consumption and may damage the heat-
ing element.
• Clean dirty surfaces with a damp cloth and clean-
ing agents.
CAUTION
Lime deposits on the heating part may damage the
heating elements. For this reason, it is necessary to do
periodic inspections and clean the heating elements of
the lime deposits. Frequency of cleaning must be ad-
justed according to own observations, taking into ac-
count hardness of water in the system. Do not clean the
heater using strong chemicals, as well as using sharp
tools.
CAUTION
The heating module must be repaired / serviced only by
an authorised service as a repair incorrectly made may
impair safety of use, and loss of warranty.
5 Service
Any irregularities in the heater operation must be re-
ported to the service.
6 Warnings and practical
requirements
It is required to:
• Clean the heater elements on a regular basis.
Cleaning intervals depend on the hardness of the
water available in a given area.
• Install the heating module according to the instal-
lation requirements contained in Chapter 2 Instal-
lation, as well as other recommendations in this
manual.
• Carry out all work related to assembly and disas-
sembly with disconnected electrical power.
• If the power cord becomes damaged, replace it
with a brand new one. They are available at au-
thorized service centres or warehouses of spare
parts.
It is forbidden to:
• Use the module in tanks made of stainless steel.
• Connect the module to the power supply when the
tank is empty or the heating element is not com-
pletely immersed in water.
• Mount the heating module in devices with a differ-
ent heat source that exceeds the temperature of
the thermostat.
• Clean the heating elements using harsh chemicals
or sharp tools.
• Make any unauthorized repairs.
• Connecting the device to an installation that does
not have an effective protective circuit.
