2 Installation
Before installation:
• Read this Installation and Operation Manual
carefully.
• The electrical wiring system must be made ac-
cording to binding regulations.
• Before starting the device, ensure all the connec-
tions are correct and tight.
• The electrical system should have an effective
protection circuit.
• Provide proper operating conditions, according to
the device technical specification (
Table 1
).
• The heater housing must not be covered or isolat-
ed thermally as this may interfere with the proper
operation of the thermoregulator mounted in the
housing and other elements.
• To avoid actuation of temperature limit fuse, limit
the temperature of heating water supplied to the
tank down to 80 °C.
• The tank design should allow for collision-free in-
stallation of the heating element in the tank. The
heating element must not touch the internal parts
of the tank. The safe distance between the end of
the heater and the tank wall is 5 cm.
• Check the connector pipe diameter – it should
correspond with the heating module thread size.
• Check the connector pipe length (G), it must be
shorter than the heating module dead zone (M)
(
Fig. 3
).
• Check the material of which the tank is made.
The module must not be installed in the stain-
less-steel tanks.
The electrical module can be installed, both in hori-
zontal and in vertical tanks whose structure allows for
installation of an electrical module of parameters ac-
cording to the
Table 1
, as well as other requirements
included in the instructions below.
1. If the module is installed into an already-working
device, drain water first.
2. Unscrew the plug protecting the connector pipe.
Screw-in the electrical module instead of the
plug. The assembly should be carried out using
55 wrench for ME 1030 or 60 wrench for ME
0040, ME 1045, ME 1060, ME 1090, ME 2090,
ME 2120, ME 2180 (do not tighten the module by
holding its housing). Seal the thread with oakum
or other sealing means available.
3. Fill-up the tank, vent the pipe system and then
check tightness of the hydraulic connection at the
module installation point.
4. If there connection is not tight, drain the tank, seal
the connection once again and repeat the opera-
tions of sec. 2-4.
5. Insert the plug into a socket with a grounded pro-
tective pin.
6. Set the desired water temperature with a knob.

IMPORTANT
The module must not be used in the stainlesssteel
tanks.
CAUTION
The heating module must not be installed in the
rooms where ambient temperature falls below 0 °C or
grow up above 50 °C.
