INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

100 VOLT DISTRIBUTED INSTALLATIONS

MXA 35, 75, 150, 300 AMPLIFIERS

A minor modification for wiring 100V installations is required to comply with safety regulations.

Instructions:

On any installation using the 100 volt output tap, insulation must be applied to the supplied ring lug terminals.  This insulation is to prevent
unintentional contact with the energized 100 volt tap.  Please perform the following steps.

1)  Remove mains power from the unit to be serviced.

2)  Remove the safety cover from the output barrier strip.

3)  Remove the barrier terminal screws for the 100 volt tap and Com connections.

4)  Strip 0.25” (6.4mm) of insulation from each lead.

5)  Slide one piece of the supplied heat shrink tubing on to each wire.

6)  Crimp the ring lug terminals on to the prepared wires.  See Figure #1.

7)  Slide the heat shrink as far onto the shank of the ring terminal as possible.

8)  Apply a heat source such as a heat gun or match to the heat shrink tubing until it shrinks onto the lug/wire.

9)  Reassemble the lugs and screws to the 100 volt tap and Com connections.  Tighten the screws securely.

10)  Replace the safety cover and screws.

This completes the safety modification.
