4. MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE
Attach a reflective mark to the object that you want to measure. Press the measure button (3.5). Keep
it pressed and aim at the test mark using the tachometer’s laser beam (3.2). Check whether the target
display (3.3) appears as soon as the laser beam strikes the target. Release the measure button as
soon as the measured values stabilise.
Note
: If the measured value in RPM is very low (e.g. lower
than 50 RPM), attach several reflective marks at equal intervals. You will get a precise result when
you divide the readings by the number of marks
.
5. MEMORY FUNCTION
The smallest, largest and most recent values are
automatically stored during the measurement. These
values can be retrieved by pressing the MEMORY
button (3.6).
To retrieve the stored values, follow these steps:
a) First release the operating button (3.5)!
b) Press the MEMORY button (3.6) once to retrieve the last value “LA”.
c) Press the MEMORY button (3.6) a second time for the maximum value.
The symbol “UP” appears in the display.
d) Press the MEMORY button (3.6) a third time in order to retrieve the minimum value. The symbol
“dn” appears in the display.
6. BATTERY REPLACEMENT
a) When the display shows "LO" it is necessary to replace the battery.
b) Slide the battery cover (3.7) away from the instrument and remove the battery. Install new
batteries correctly into the case.
7. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and
packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is
compatible with the environment.
7. DISPOSAL
Do not dispose battery in household waste. Batteries should be disposed of in a responsible
manner, they must be disposed at appropriate collection point. Dispose of this product at the
end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information or give the
product for disposal to BGS technic KG or to an electrical appliances retailer.
