2. Operation
2.1 Battery
The scales requires 2 x
1.5 V AAA
micro batteries. If the ‚change battery‘ symbol “Lo” appears, the battery
is almost flat. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment beneath the scales. Make absolutely sure
that you insert them with the correct polarity as marked.
Spent batteries and rechargeable batteries do not constitute normal household waste!
They are considered to be toxic waste and, as such, should be disposed of in special
containers, toxic waste collection points or brought to electrical goods dealers.
Note: Batteries containing pollutant substances are marked as follows:
Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains mer-
cury.
Place the scale on a level and solid surface; this is important for ensuring that the scale
weighs correctly.
2.2 Weighing
On delivery the scale is set to the unit “g”. A switch located on the back of the scale enables you to change
to “g” and “oz”.
Weights are displayed in 1g steps. Switch the scale on by pressing „On/Off/Tara“. „---- “ first of all appears
followed by „0 g“, indicating that the scale is now ready for weighing.
