Warning notice for a safe and correct method of use
The microscope is designed for children ages 10 and up. It contains small parts, which pose a choking hazard to young
children. It is not a toy! It is pointed out to parents and teachers that the microscope is a scientific device. Always follow
the specified safety instructions. Only use the microscope with a power supply of 220 Volt. Connecting it to different power
supplies damages the device.
Maintenance, care, and storage of the microscope
WARNING:
To avoid fire or short circuit, never expose the microscope to dampness or moisture.
- Turn the light off whenever you do not need it, in order to prolong the life of lighting.
- Separate the microscope from the electric circuit before cleaning it.
- Clean the microscope exclusively with a soft cloth. Fingerprints and stains can be removed with a moistened cloth. When
it is necessary to clean the lenses, try to do it with a cotton-wool ball, very slightly moistened with alcohol. Dry the lenses
with a dry cotton-wool ball or with special cleaning paper.
- Store the microscope in a cool and dry place.
- Cover the microscope with the included dust cover, or put it back into its case whenever not in use.
- When you use it outside, make sure it is in an upright position, to prevent the eyepiece from falling out. Avoid dampness
and moisture.
- Eyepiece and objective should be kept installed, to prevent dust getting into the tube.
- Always carry the microscope holding it at the arm.
Notes for disposal
Please dispose of all packaging material immediately after unpacking in an environmentally-friendly fashion. Plastic
wrappings represent a danger of suffocation for small children. Please dispose of the used microscope according to local
ordinance regulations.
Electrical waste is not to be disposed of in household waste.
The unusable microscope is not to be disposed of with household waste. Please dispose the used microscope according to
local ordinance regulations. This is indicated by the following symbol.
Notes for disposal of batteries
Used batteries are not to be disposed of with household waste. Consumers are legally obligated to return batteries to the
appropriate collecting points. They can also be taken to any place where they are sold. Used batteries contain valuable
resources, which can be recycled. The sign with the crossed out waste container means, that batteries and rechargeable
batteries are not to be disposed of in household waste.
The symbols below the waste container mean:
Pb: The battery contains lead Cd: The battery contains cadmium
Hg: The battery contains mercury
Guarantee
Over and above the legal warranty (and without restricting it) you receive 5 years complete guarantee. That means, proof of
damaged or faulty goods at the time of purchase is not necessary.
