Do not use the tool if it cannot be switched on and off using the power switch. Power tools that cannot be
controlled with the power switch are dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the battery from the tool and make sure the power switch is in the locked or OFF position before
making adjustments, changing accessories or putting the tool away. These safety precautions reduce the risk of
accidently starting the power tool.
Keep power tools out of the reach of children and other unauthorised persons when not in use. Tools are dangerous
if used by inexperienced people.
When the battery is not being used, it must be kept away from other metal objects such as paperclips, coins, keys,
nails, screws and other small metal objects that can form a connection between two terminals. If the battery
terminals are short-circuited, sparks, burns or fire can occur.
Maintain the tool in good order. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Tools that are maintained correctly and have
sharp edges jam less frequently and are easier to control.
Make sure that moving parts are properly adjusted and do not jam and that no parts are damaged.
Check for other factors that could affect the operation of the power tool. If damage is found, the tool must be
serviced before it is used. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer for your model. Accessories that are suitable for one tool
may pose a risk of injury if used with another tool.
Service work should be carried out by qualified service personnel only. There is a risk of accident or injury if
service or maintenance work is carried out by unqualified persons.
Use only identical spare parts when servicing a tool. Follow the instructions in the Maintenance section in the
manual. Failure to follow maintenance instructions or use of non-approved parts may pose a risk of electric shock
or injury.
Hold the power tool by the insulated grips when working in areas where the tool may come into contact with
concealed electrical cables or its own power cord.
In the event of contact with a live cable, the metal parts of the tool also become conductive and the user receives an
electric shock.
Always wear protective eyewear when working with the tool. Use a dust mask or dust shield for work that creates
dust.
Secure the material to a stable surface. Never hold it in your hands or across your legs. If the material is not
supported sufficiently, you may lose control and become injured.
Always hold the saw firmly with both hands while working. Always keep hands and feet away from the sawing
area. Keep hands away from the blade. Keep your hands at a safe distance from the blade. Never put your hand
under the tool when the blade is moving. Do not use your legs or feet to hold the work piece steady.
Position yourself so that you can never become trapped between the tool or side handle and walls or doors. If the
mounting or attachment jams while working, the torque that then occurs in the tool can injure your hands or legs.
Hold the power tool by the insulated grips when working in areas where the tool may come into contact with
concealed electrical cables or its own power cord. If the blade comes into contact with a live cable, the metal parts
of the tool can become sufficiently conductive to give the user a serious electric shock. In the event of contact with
a live cable, the metal parts of the tool also become conductive and the user receives an electric shock. Do not saw
or break into existing walls or other areas with restricted visibility where there may be electrical cables. If you
cannot avoid this, turn off the power at the main circuit breaker.
The saw must always be turned off when carrying it at your side. A moving blade can catch in clothing and cause
injury.
Disconnect the battery from the tool and make sure the power switch is in the locked or OFF position before
making adjustments, changing accessories, or carrying out inspection, maintenance or cleaning. These safety
precautions reduce the risk of accidently starting the power tool.
Do not use the saw if it has been damaged, left outside in the rain or snow, exposed to wet or damp conditions or
has been immersed in water.
Do not use blunt or damaged blades.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Cutting tools that are maintained correctly and have sharp edges jam less
frequently and are easier to handle.
Before a saw is restarted in the workpiece, check that the teeth are not engaged in the material.
Keep the handle of the saw dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
Always be very careful when sawing in high or difficult to reach locations. Watch out for concealed electrical
cables and falling debris.
Signs and nameplates must be left on the saw. These provide important information.
