Do not use the tool if it cannot be switched on and off using the power switch. Power tools that cannot be
controlled with the power switch are dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the battery from the tool and make sure the power switch is in the locked or OFF position before
making adjustments, changing accessories or putting the tool away. These safety precautions reduce the risk of
accidently starting the power tool.
Keep power tools out of the reach of children and other unauthorised persons when not in use. Tools are dangerous
if used by inexperienced people.
When the battery is not being used, it must be kept away from other metal objects such as paperclips, coins, keys,
nails, screws and other small metal objects that can form a connection between two terminals. If the battery
terminals are short-circuited, sparks, burns or fire can occur.
Maintain the tool in good order. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Tools that are maintained correctly and have
sharp edges jam less frequently and are easier to control.
Make sure that moving parts are properly adjusted and do not jam and that no parts are damaged.
Check for other factors that could affect the operation of the power tool. If damage is found, the tool must be
serviced before it is used. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer for your model. Accessories that are suitable for one tool
may pose a risk of injury if used with another tool.
Service work should be carried out by qualified service personnel only. There is a risk of accident or injury if
service or maintenance work is carried out by unqualified persons.
Use only identical spare parts when servicing a tool. Follow the instructions in the Maintenance section in the
