1. Fill the evaporator with 200 ml of Berner Airclean Citrus.
2. Place the Airbox Cleaner in the passenger-side footwell. Please make sure that the Airbox
Cleaner is placed on a dirt-repellent, heat-resistant and smooth surface in the footwell. Place the
steam outlet hole in the direction of the air intake device, which is usually located at the bottom of
the foot well behind the centre console. Please ensure there is a gap of approx. 30 cm between the
cleaner and the centre console.
3. Guide the extension cable through the passenger door window and connect the power supply to
a socket (220 V) or an extension cable.
4. Turn the vehicle air conditioning to the „ECO” setting or switch it off. Turn the fan to the lowest
setting, or for slight ventilation turn to setting 2. Open all air infeeds in the vehicle, turn the fan to
the circulate air setting and set the heating to „cold”.
5. Switch on the Airbox Cleaner at the power supply. Allow approximately three minutes to warm-
up and the vaporization will then start in single cycles. An application takes 15 minutes, depending
on the outside temperature.
6. Once the application is complete, switch off the Airbox Cleaner immediately, turn the fan in the
vehicle to exterior air and give the vehicle a good airing.
7. The next time you use the Airbox Cleaner, all you will need to do is refill 100 ml of Berner
Airclean Citrus.
Please ensure that there is always sufficient fluid in the tank, otherwise the appliance will not
switch on (fluidlevel sensor).
Care information:
Clean the device through evaporation with distilled water after approx. 10 – 20 applications or prior
to not being used for several days. Drain the tank for this purpose and fill in at least 200 ml of
distilled water and turn on the device. Refill the tank with fluid after the distilled water has
evaporated. If evaporation becomes clearly less effective, clean the device by evaporating 150 ml
of distilled water and adding 50 ml of vinegar. Make sure to store the device protected against
frost.
Safety instructions:
The Berner Airbox Cleaner has only be used in conjunction with our Airclean Citrus fluid (item no.
005532). Otherwise it´s possible, that the Airbox Cleaner gets destroyed.Never combine flammable
liquids of any kind (oil, gas, odiferous agents etc.) with Airclean Citrus.
Make sure that the Airbox Cleaner is placed on a dirt-repellent, heat-resistant and smooth surface
in the footwell. Never leave the Airbox Cleaner unattended during the application.
When commissioning, maintain an appropriate distance from easily flammable materials. When
using the Airbox Cleaner, please ensure that you follow the steps outlined in the instruction
manual. If your Airbox Cleaner is not working correctly, stop using it immediately. Package it
