7. OPERATING

INSTRUCTIONS

7.1 Switch

on

Due to safety measures the EXPRESS is neither equipped with an ON/OFF key nor a switch.
As soon as the power supply unit is connected to the power mains the EXPRESS is ready for
use.

7.2 EFA (if desired)

First connect all the External Antennas available with the adaptor box. The power supply unit or
an equivalent battery (12 VDC) provides the power required for the antennas. Then insert the
EXPRESS into the adaptor box.
If there is no adaptor at hand, the required power for the EXPRESS is supplied by plugging
it directly in but in this case no External Antenna can be connected.
For a short time the following will show on the display:

7.3 Search

for

Antennas

Now the EXPRESS looks for the connected antennas and checks

the power supply:

After approx. 8 seconds the following will appear on the display:
