4.33 Soft key menu: Setup
The Setup Menu allows the user to select various parameters relating to the
Vibration Meter Program channel, unit, signal processing and recorder functions
of this program.
4.34 Channel Menu: Setting up the parameters of input channels
Channel Setup Menu allows the user to select various parameters related to
each channel.
Select channel setup to define each channel according to what you are
measuring. You can turn each channel on/off, select the Sensor Type,
Sensor Unit (SU), Sensitivity mV/Su, IEPE Power, and Auto Range checkbox,
for defining the measurement parameters to make a good measurement.
ON/ OFF : Turns on/off each channel
Sensor Type
: Select Acceleration, Velocity or Displacement
Sensor Unit (SU): This will show different values depending on what sensor is
selected. For example, if you have Acceleration in Sensor Type selected, the
choices will be Gs, gal, m/s2 and Velocity = mm/s, in/s, cm/s and Displacement
will show mil or um.
Sensitivity mV/SU: This selection will bring up a pop-up menu display of a
numeric input panel where you will enter the sensors sensitivity. A typical
accelerometer is 100 mV/G, so you will enter 100 for the sensitivity value.
