Before the First Use
• Remove any sticker or protective cover from the soleplate before using the appliance.
• Fill the water tank (14) with water and heat the iron. Then iron a damp cloth for several minutes
to remove any residue on the plate (see section "Steam ironing".
Notes:
• During the first use, an odor may occur which will stop after a while.
• Some particles may come off the plate when you use the iron for the first time. This is
normal and they stop coming out of the iron after a while.
• When you activate the "Steam ironing" function, the appliance produces a pump sound.
This indicates that water is being pumped to the steam generator.
• During the process of heating the plate, a little steam comes out of the plate
automatically and this effect continues for about 3 seconds. This is normal.
• There will be some condensate water in the steam supply pipe after the first use. In the
next use, the condensing water will be released along with the steam at the beginning of
the steam release. This phenomenon will continue for several seconds. This is normal.
