2. Press or , and then select a focusing area.

While using the Face Tracking function, point the camera to where the people (your
subjects) are located. Focus frames of Face Tracking will automatically detect faces
(maximum 9) and show on the LCD screen.
4. Press the shutter to capture the image.
AF Assist Lamp
This function emits red light allowing the camera to focus easily when half pressed the
Shutter button.
To turn on/off AF Assist Lamp:
1. Go to the Capture mode.
2. Press
> > AF Assist Lamp .
3. Press or , and then select or .
4. Press > .
Setting sharpness, saturation and contrast
Adjusts how colors appear in the pictures by setting sharpness, saturation, and contrast.
To set sharpness, saturation, or contrast:
1. Press > , and then select Sharpness , Saturation or Contrast .
2. Press or , and then select High , Normal , or Low .
3. Press > .
Digital Zoom
This feature controls the digital zoom mode. The camera enlarges the image using optical
zoom (up to 5x).
• Due to environmental factors such as lighting, the number of detected faces might be
different from that of the actual faces.
• To achieve the best result, ask your subjects not to turn their faces partially away from
the lens.
Icon Mode Description
Wise Zoom Reduces the image size, and thus increases the effective
zoom length without sacrificing image quality.
Digital Zoom Turns on the digital zoom feature.
OFF Turns off the digital zoom feature.
