Press down the battery tray until it closes firmly, as indicated by the arrow in the
following figure:

Powering On the Unit

When the rechargeable lithium-ion pack or AA battery tray is properly installed into the
compartment door, the TD60 will be powered on automatically. The alarm light will
momentarily illuminate cyan to indicate that the equipment is starting. The TD60 per-
forms a self-test during startup. The alarm light flashes red, yellow, and cyan in turn, and
then off. This indicates that the alarm system functions correctly.

When the TD60 installed with the rechargeable lithium-ion pack or AA battery tray is

powered off, press the

key to turn it on.

Upon powering up, there are two situations:

■

When the TD60 is turned on for the first time, the device will request you to
configure first time startup. Please make your desired configurations as prompted.

■

When the TD60 is turned on the next time, the device will prompt whether it is a
new patient. Select

Yes

or

No

as desired. If the device is a lock mode, a passcode is

required.
