Mounting the TV
When you’re ready to put the Monitor Plate (MP) onto the
Wall Mount (WM), get a friend or an assistant to help you
lift the TV and guide the Monitor Plate onto the Wall
Mount as shown in Figure 13.
After you’re confident it is properly installed and the TV is
securely mounted to the wall, you need to tighten the Security
Screws (X or W) using a Phillips-head screwdriver as shown.
You really need two people for this part of the task: One
person can hold the monitor steady while the other turns the
security screws into the wall plate. You may need to align the
monitor plate and the wall plate to ensure proper insertion
of the security screws. After the TV is installed,
carefully
try
to lift it off to make sure it is secure. If it is correctly secured,
the TV should not move.

If you need to remove the TV
Flat screen TVs are very heavy and extremely fragile.
Exercise caution when removing the display from the mount
to avoid equipment damage or personal injury.
If your cables are accessible, disconnect all power and A/V cables before removing the display from
the Wall Mount (WM). If cables are not accessible, have an assistant remove the cables as soon as
the TV is lifted off the wall mount. Also have the assisstant hold the TV as you loosen the Security
Screws (X or W) from underneath using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Lift the TV straight up until it
becomes free from the wall mount.
